The Mission Oaks Genealogy Club, a non-profit organization, was created in 1984 so struggling family historians, joining forces, would have much greater opportunities to learn about the "what, where and how" of genealogy. Its purposes are to educate and train its members in the techniques, methods, resources, and facilities used in genealogy research and how to organize and protect the results of their research, As a further purpose, the Club strives to cultivate public awareness of the educational and historical value of genealogical research.
Meetings:
Only daytime meetings are offered, making them especially attractive to those who would rather be at home in the evenings. With the exception of some National Holidays, announced in the Club newsletter, meetings are held once each month.
